Getting ready to export is challenging. It requires taking a long-term view and the ability to develop, implement and sustain a successful market entry strategy.
First things first though. Critical questions need to be asked and answered. Assumptions and ‘what if’s’ need to be comprehensively tested.
- Is there a market ?
- Is it big enough and lucrative enough to make taking the risk worthwhile?
- Have you got the right product and can you sell it for the right price?
- Can you access the channels you need to reach the consumer?
